Pacifics Agree To Terms With Patrick Conroy
Two time Pacific Association Pitcher of the Year back for fourth season with Pacifics
San Rafael, CA - Two-time Pacific Association Pitcher of the Year, Patrick Conroy, has agreed to terms with the San Rafael Pacifics for the 2017 season.
The 6’4” left-hander out of Drake High School and the College of Marin has been the mainstay of the Pacifics rotation since 2014 when he posted a 9-2 record on his way to his first Pitcher of the Year honor and his first league championship.
2016, as well, was a banner year for Conroy. His 2.12 ERA and 5-2 record commanded the league and earned him his second Pitcher of the Year award.
“Patrick has been our staff ace ever since he came to us from the Kansas City Royals organization,” said Pacifics manager Matt Kavanaugh. “Not only did he post amazing overall numbers but his record at home (4-0, 0.45 ERA) kept us in the pennant race until the very end. I’m so excited to have him back.”
Conroy is a graduate of Drake High School where he earned three First Team All Marin County honors and Pitcher of the Year, and the College of Marin where he was named Bay Valley Conference Most Valuable Player. He signed with the Kansas City Royals in the 32nd round of the 2012 MLB Amateur Draft and quickly impressed with a 5-2 record in 2012 and a 6-2 record in 2013 and placement on the Pioneer League All-Star team.
“It’s great to be coming back to the Pacifics,” said Conroy. “My goal is to get back into affiliated ball and the showcase the Pacifics have given me has been awesome. I love playing in my home town and I love playing for Matt Kavanaugh."
