Max Beatty Signs With San Rafael
Former Pitcher of the Year and White Sox Farm Hand Returns to Pacifics
San Rafael, CA - The 2015 Pacific Association Pitcher of the Year, Max Beatty, has been resigned by the San Rafael Pacifics and is expected to be in uniform on Sunday.
Beatty, who was promoted from the Pacifics by the Chicago White Sox last season, reached the AAA level Charlotte Knights in his 2-year stint with the White Sox.
“I had a great experience in the White Sox organization, but it’s great to be coming back to San Rafael” said Beatty. “I’m happy about it. It all works out.”
After having been drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 32nd round of the 2013 MLB June Amateur draft, Beatty joined the Pacifics in 2015. His 8-2 record that year with a league-best 3.18 ERA may have been one of the best pitching seasons in league history, including his dominant one-hit complete game shutout of the Pittsburg Diamonds on just 89 pitches.
“Getting Max back into our rotation will be a huge boost for us,” said Manager Matt Kavanaugh. “While I was rooting for him to make the big leagues I’m still happy to have him back with us.”
