Pacifics Add New Faces

Radio Voice and Director of Media and Public Relations Join Front Office

The San Rafael Pacifics announced the addition of two new members of their front office. Forrest Hunt is replacing Greg Mroz as the team’s radio broadcaster and Aaron Mendle will join as the Director of Media and Public Relations.

Mroz, Pacifics play by play announcer for the past season, has been promoted to announce games for the Helena (Montana) Brewers of the Pioneer League, the advanced rookie level team affiliated with the Milwaukee Brewers.

“I’m so pleased that Greg Mroz is moving up to affiliated ball and wish him the very best as he advances his career,” said Pacifics President and General Manager Mike Shapiro.  “We’ll miss him greatly, but at the same time excited to bring on Forrest Hunt, a young announcer with a lot of talent, and Aaron Mendle, a guy with a lot of experience in social media and PR.”

Hunt, a native of Santa Rosa, just completed his sophomore year at Dominican University of California as a Communications Media Studies major.At DominicanForest called over 124 games on Penguin Radio for sports such as: Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Volleyball, and Softball.

“I am very pleased to be a part of the San Rafael Pacifics Baseball staff for the 2018 baseball season,” said Hunt. “I can’t thank enough all those people who helped me realize my dream of becoming a professional broadcaster.”

Aaron Mendle who grew up in Marin County, has a broad background in sales, youth sports and social media.

“I love baseball, so the opportunity for me to be a part of the front office of a professional baseball team is a dream come true. I am very excited to be a member of the Pacifics team and look forward to a great 2018 campaign,” said Mr. Mendle.
